QuitBreath — effective date: 1 July 2026 — last updated: 17 July 2026

📋 Overview

QuitBreath ("the App", "we", "our") is a wellness application designed to support your smoke-free journey. We believe your personal health information belongs to you, not us. This policy explains what data the App collects, where it goes, and what choices you have.

The App does not require an account. Your quit date, cravings, slips, and journal notes never leave your device unless explicitly exported by you.

📱 Data Stored On Your Device

The following data is stored locally in the App's private database on your Android device:

None of the above is transmitted to our servers or any third-party analytics platform. It stays on your phone and is removed when you uninstall the App.

🛡️ Analytics and Crash Reporting

This release does not include an analytics or crash-reporting SDK. QuitBreath does not transmit product-usage events, crash reports, quit dates, cravings, slips, notes, or smoking history to an analytics provider.

💳 Subscriptions Optional

If you choose to purchase a Premium subscription, the transaction is processed by the Google Play Store through Google Play Billing. The App receives product details, purchase status, and the store purchase record needed to unlock or restore Premium. QuitBreath does not send your name, email, quit date, cravings, notes, or smoking history with a purchase. For details, see Google's privacy policy.

📢 Advertising Free tier only

Users whose Premium status has resolved to the free tier may see one anchored banner on the Home dashboard, served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) (Google LLC). Ads are not placed in onboarding, craving rescue, breathing sessions, or other therapy flows.

Before requesting an ad, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request current consent information and show any message required for your region. Google Mobile Ads is initialized only when UMP reports that ads may be requested. When UMP requires an ongoing privacy entry point, the App displays Ad privacy choices in Settings so you can review or change your choice.

Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect and share your IP address (which may estimate approximate location), app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. QuitBreath never attaches your quit reason, notes, exact quit time, cravings, smoking history, or calculated journey metrics to an ad request.

You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android privacy settings. For details, see Google Mobile Ads' data disclosure and Google's advertising policy.

🔔 Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device using the Android notification system. Notification content is generated entirely on-device. No notification data is sent to our servers.

👤 Children's Privacy

QuitBreath is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

🌍 Your Rights

Because most data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App or using the App's built-in "Delete all data" option in Settings. Where required, you can review or change Google ad consent through "Ad privacy choices" in Settings, and you can manage the Android advertising ID through your device privacy controls. For any other data-related requests or questions, contact us at the email below.

🔄 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
